Darijo Srna, team captain, and Eduardo Alves da Silva, claimed a crucial victory and secured the top of the league table in Ukraine.

Shakhtar Donetsk won its fifth consecutive, ninth in total, Ukrainian league title. With an away with at Zorya (3:1), Shakhtar claimed three necessary points to get out of reach of the second-placed Dnipro.

Zorya played with ten men from the 12th minute, and the first two Shakhtar goals were scored by Luiz Adriano. Ljubenović scored for the home team in the first half added time.

In the second half added time, Shakhtar answered all the questions with an Eduardo Alves da Silva tap-in, after a long ball by Darijo Srna and a cross from Douglas Costa.

Srna, Shakhtar and Croatia captain, played the entire match, while Eduardo came off the bench in the 70th minute.
