Croatian international Ivan Rakitić progressed to the Europa League final. Sevilla won its semifinals on aggregate against Valencia and will meet Portuguese side Benfica.

The all-Spanish semifinal clash between Sevilla and Valencia ended in dramatic fashion. After 2:0 win in the first leg, Sevilla was trailing 3:0 at Mestalla in the return leg, thanks to Feghouli and Mathieu goals, and Beto own goal.

However, Mbia scored a header to make it 3:1 in the fourth minute of added time, and to bring joy to his team and supporters.

Sevilla captain Ivan Rakitić, a member of the Croatian national team, played from the first to the final whistle, and will thus have an opportunity to lift the trophy in Turin, on May 14th.

Sevilla will play Benfica. After winning the first leg against Juventus 2:1, the Portuguese side progressed to the final match with a goalless draw in Italy.
