The reigning world champions Spain retained first place thanks to defending their title in the UEFA Nations League, while Germany was the biggest gainer among the top ten national teams and is now ranked third, just behind second-placed the United States.
On the most recent ranking list, the Croatian women’s national team registered a drop of two positions and is currently in 61st place.
Elsewhere in the standings, three national teams from different continents achieved progress of as many as 16 places. Nicaragua (now 96th), Burkina Faso (118th), and American Samoa (137th) made significant jumps, with American Samoa recording two important victories against the Cook Islands and Tonga and earning more than 63 points — the most of all teams since the last ranking was published.
